To test your Dreamtilt Fixed Wireless connection, login to your account at https://billing.dreamtilt.com.au with your account email address and account password.
Once logged on, click on Services and then click your broadband plan under the Product/Service column in the My Products & Services page.
On the Manage Product page, scroll down the page to find the green button stating Check Dreamtilt Wireless Connection.
Click on the button and it will complete a check of your Dreamtilt fixed wireless connection and display the results as well as display your public IP address and your real time bandwidth/data usage.
The test will include details on -
- Checking if your wireless radio is powered on and registered to the network
- Check the adapt rate (speed rate) of the wireless connection (low numbers may indicate wireless interference, blocking by trees or objects, or a faulty radio)
- Check the signal strength of the fixed wireless connection to the roof radio unit (poor or high signal numbers may indicate poor alignment, radio interference or blocking from objects like trees, or a faulty radio)
- How long the radio unit has been powered on for (short times may mean the radio has been turned off or lost power to it)
- How long the radio unit has been registered on the network (short times may mean there is an issue with the radio registering to the main network)
- Ethernet connection from the roof radio unit to the back of the WAN port on the router (no connection may mean a loose Ethernet cable between the router and the wall socket, or a faulty connection to the roof radio)
- Ethernet connection uptime (displays the length of time since the last ethernet disconnection occurred. If turning router on and off the time may be low, or may indicate a loose / poor Ethernet connection occurring. Large times indicate no drop out issues on the Ethernet connection for that time period.)
- Router login time (indicates if the router is logging in correctly, how long the router has been connected to the network without any drops in connection, or other issues with the router connecting)
- Account status (indicates if your account is ok or has been suspended due to payment issues)
- PPPoE Login (indicates if the router is logging in ok with the correct login details)
Based on the above, you can then review if the Dreamtilt radio connection is ok, or if you need to contact Dreamtilt to follow up with any issues that may be indicated by the test.
