Cannot send email on phone or tablet

If you cannot send email on your phone or tablet, you will need to check the settings on the device to make sure you have the correct information entered for sending.

For iPhones, iPads, other iOS devices

  1.  Select Settings > Mail > Accounts

  2. Select the email address you are having email issues
  3. Select Account

    iOS Mobile Email Settings

  4. Under Outgoing Server, select SMTP

Note: The SMTP server will depend on your email account settings. For customers with Dreamtilt email accounts ending in @dreamtilt.com.au it will be mail.dreamtilt.com.au.
For customers with web hosting with Dreamtilt, it will be your mail.yourdomainname.com.au - where your domain name is your domain name details.
For customers with email accounts with other ISP providers, please check your providers SMTP server settings with that provider.

  5. Select Primary Server

  6. Check the email account details are filled correctly and that you have the full email address and the password correctly entered (if blank, enter details - these must be entered).

Check SSL if SSL is required or not with your provider (If using @dreamtilt.com.au emails, select SSL, if using Dreamtilt web hosting, check if you have an SSL certificate installed in your
    web hosting account in cPanel)

    Select Authentication and select Password

If using SSL and you have a Dreamtilt or Dreamtilt Web Hosting Account, set the Server Port to 587. For other providers, check with the provider on the correct port to use. Normally for SSL ports it will be either 465 or 587. For non-SSL accounts it will be port 25.

  7. Click Done and the device will test the email connection.
